The Kenyon Academic Partnership announces an expanded program in Faculty

Development. Teams of Kenyon and secondary teachers, normally one of

each in the same area, may apply for funding to support summer research

that will have direct bearing on the teaching of their KAP courses. The

amount available will be a maximum of $2,500.00 for each participant up

to $5,000.00 total. The funds may be used for travel, attending

conferences, purchase of books and materials. It may not be used for

equipment with the exception of soft-ware necessary for the completion

of the project.

Proposals, with forms available on the KAP website, must be submitted to the

Directors of KAP at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it <mailto: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it >  NO LATER than

January 17 prior to the summer or year for which funds are required. A

two page application should include both the activities to be funded,

the KAP course to be supported, and the specific ways in which the new

work will contribute to the enrichment of the course. In addition, a

specific budget ought to accompany the proposal.

Recipients will be notified by March 1 and evaluated by a sub-committee

of the Executive Committee.

Funds will be available as advances for up to 80% of the requested

amount. The remaining 20% will be provided following a written report on

the activities of the grant.
