The Kenyon Academic Partnership announces an expanded program in Faculty Development. Teams of Kenyon and secondary teachers, normally one of each in the same area, may apply for funding to support summer research that will have direct bearing on the teaching of their KAP courses. The amount available will be a maximum of $2,500.00 for each participant up to $5,000.00 total. The funds may be used for travel, attending conferences, purchase of books and materials. It may not be used for equipment with the exception of soft-ware necessary for the completion of the project. You need JavaScript enabled to view it > NO LATER than January 17 prior to the summer or year for which funds are required. A two page application should include both the activities to be funded, the KAP course to be supported, and the specific ways in which the new work will contribute to the enrichment of the course. In addition, a specific budget ought to accompany the proposal. Recipients will be notified by March 1 and evaluated by a sub-committee of the Executive Committee. Funds will be available as advances for up to 80% of the requested amount. The remaining 20% will be provided following a written report on the activities of the grant. |
