Kenyon Equivalent: MATH 118: INTRODUCTION TO PROGRAMMING = .5 unit creditThis course presents an introduction to computer science intended for those planning to take additional courses in computing, for those with a strong foundation in mathematics, and for those intending to major in science or mathematics or one of the social sciences where a strong background in computation is desirable. This course will expose the student to a variety of applications where an algorithmic approach is natural and will include both numerical and non numerical computation. Instruction in C will be included, and the principles of structured programming will be emphasized. |
